How we first met
Justin…
The first time I met Lachelle, I was introduced to her by a close friend of mine, Mike Wang, during a mutual friend’s wedding.
Sitting across the table, I had a hard time taking my eyes off of her which she quickly noticed. Wanting to talk more with her whenever I could, I made sure to follow her out to the parking lot when I noticed she started to leave so I could say good-bye…I wanted to make some type of impression on her if I could.
The next day, I decided to call my good friend, Mike, and see what he knew about Lachelle.”
Lachelle…
During the wedding, my dear friend and co-worker, Erin Clancy, mentioned a lot of amazing things about Justin while he was off talking with other guests. I kept catching him stare over our way from time to time which made me feel shy but curious at the same time. As we were leaving the wedding, Justin walked out with Erin and I which I thought was very sweet.
A few weeks later, I was leaving my office for the night and just as I was about to close the door, my phone rang. Not knowing who it was, I normally wouldn’t answer but for some strange reason, something told me to pick up the phone. Hearing Justin on the other side, I was surprised and smiled as he asked me out for lunch.
I said yes, of course;)”

Lachelle…
It was our one year anniversary and I remember the day being really relaxing with all that Justin had planned.
As we headed down to Laguna Beach for dinner reservations at the Montage, Justin mentioned wanting to get there a little early. Having a great time and enjoying just being with him, I didn’t think anything about it.
Outside walking along the path, Justin gave me 2 rocks saying one was for him and one was for me.”
Justin…
“Wanting to surprise Lachelle, I had to think of a way to get her down to the water without giving anything away. Giving her the rocks, I said we could write our names on each and throw them into the water, marking our year together.
She bought it!
Once we had walked to the area where everything was set up, I tried to throw her off again by saying, “Happy Anniversary!” but I knew I had to act fast to keep her from figuring it out.
Pouring a glass of champagne, I asked Lachelle to sit down at the table I had set up along the water. After handing her the glass, I began to pull the ring from out of my pocket. I could see her starring at what I was doing…
On one knee I asked, “Will you marry me?”
Lachelle…
Instant shock is the best way I can explain it. I remember trying to say yes but it was so quiet it hardly came out and I don’t think Justin could even hear me. Seeing him still on his knee, I laughed and gave another big, YES!
Justin definitely surprised me with a beautiful proposal and I love all the thought and care he put into making such a memorable day for us both!”
Taking in the beautiful sunset, together Justin and Lachelle celebrated their engagement during dinner overlooking Laguna Beach. It was an amazing day.
